SOLAS is a international collaborative project which involves over 1500 scientists in 23 different nations. The head office of SOLAS is located at the University of East Anglia in Norwich, United Kingdom.
SOLAS Research
SOLAS research is centred around three main foci:
FOCUS 1:Biogeochemical Interactions and Feedbacks between Ocean and Atmosphere
FOCUS 2:Exchange Processes at the Air-Sea Interface and Role of Transport and Transformation in Atmospheric and Oceanic Boundary Layers
FOCUS 3:Air-Sea Flux of CO2 and Other Long-Lived Radiatively-Active Gases
Collectively under the direction of the SOLAS IPO we aim to gain a better knowledge of the Earth’s climate systems through a better understanding of ocean/atmospheric interactions.
