About Me

I work with Professor John Turner and Dr Andrew Orr within the ‘Climate Variability and Modelling’ (CLIVARM) project at the British Antarctic Survey. My work involves investigation (by numerical modelling and data analysis) into the climate variability of Antarctica and the coupling with global- and regional-scale dynamics.

I have got a PhD in atmospheric sciences from the University of Cambridge supervised by Professor John Pyle and working closely with Dr Maria Russo. My research focused on the transport of halogenated short-lived species, such as those emitted near tropical coastal regions, which can be lifted by tropical convective systems (e.g. thunderstorms) through the tropical tropopause layer (TTL) and into the stratosphere where they could potentially have an impact on ozone concentrations.
