a brief introduction:
I'm working on the development of the FAMOUS-CI Earth System Model - a low resolution version of the HadCM3 ocean-atmosphere general circulation model. This primarily involves improving the climate and integrating marine and terrestrial carbon cycle components. Ice-sheet coupling will also be included. The development work is technically part of the QUEST Earth System Model project.
FAMOUS is more computationally expensive than GENIE, so will be used for shorter, higher resolution subsets of the long GENIE runs envisaged for QQ. Other projects, including QUEST Deglaciation, intend to use FAMOUS-CI.
