I have just taken up a faculty position at the University of Lancaster, but prior to that I served as coordinator of the QUAAC project of the NERC QUEST programme.
Research Interests
Modelling atmospheric composition and chemistry, with particular interest in the evolution and tropospheric distribution of ozone and in the role of tropospheric chemistry in the Earth system. Key areas of interest are:
- Intercontinental transport of ozone and its precursors
- Indirect climate impacts of short-lived gases such as NOx and CO
- Factors controlling the ozone distribution over East Asia
- Meteorological impacts on continental ozone production and export
- Model treatments of tropospheric chemistry and photolysis
- The strengths and weaknesses of 3-D Eulerian models in simulating tropospheric ozone
- Earth System interactions and feedbacks involving tropospheric chemistry
