Current Project:
I am currently engaged in a project that aims to characterise the biochemical function of four classes of cellulose synthase-like (Csl) genes, families B, E, G and H, from Arabidopsis thaliana and Oryza sativa (rice), utilising the moss Physcomitrella patens as a heterologous expression system. This is a multi-institutional project based at the University of Rhode Island, Kingston, in partnership with Michigan Technical University, Houghton, and in collaboration with the University of Copenhagen.
